My daughter's always been wet at night... she is having more dry nights than ever but now started her period... anyone else experience this? Did you use pull ups still? Pads?

Fyi... we have had Drs. opinions, tried alarms, she doesn't drink caffeine etc. I know being 11 and wet at night seems wrong to some... please only comment if you have experience and to help. No lectures needed thanks!!!

Hi Kari. My child wet the bed until he was 12. It was embarrassing for him because he couldn't go on sleepovers without worrying about it, and would stay up all night to prevent it. We tried everything you probably have tried and nothing worked until he was prescribed pills to help him make it through a couple nights while on a school camping trip. Our family doctor told us that the pills wouldn't have any effect on his ability to overcome bed-wetting, but the doctor who gave us the prescription suggested we try them for a week or so and suggested they could make a difference. They did! So that's something else you may wish to try. I don't recall the name of the medication but it's common and your doc will know what it is. I hope this helps and I totally understand yours and your child's frustration. Good luck!
