I am a single mom to a teenage son. I was broughr up with no hugs or kisses but as we didn't know otherwise we accepted it. So when I had my son I made sure he would constantly get hugs kisses and I love you's every day. I have found a kind word and a random I love you puts a spring in his walk. This also helps him be open withe and asks me opnly about drink drugs sex etc. I left his dad and moved countries so as to get away for my peace of mind but more to give him a better life. We now live in Australia and cannot be happier. I give my son some leeway and space and I show him I trust him and also talk often about motivation. I also find he knowing about the bad stuff and crimes is just as important as the good newsworthy stuff. My son is 15 and he already knows what he wants to do to be and his goals. He knows walking away from something that Is not right only makes him better and stronger. He has learnt not to judge others especially other kids. He knows I will open my arms and home to any kid doing it tough as from me he has learnt not to judge. Bottom linw he knows I am there for him always and he is my first priority. So to all mums with teens hug your kids and ldt them know they are wanted and loved.

That's really wonderful Evelyn. I think we are blessed and very lucky to have good kids. Godbless you and your son.
