Hi,

I am pretty sick. The doctors are narrowing it down to as it seems s to which type of cancer I have, liver or blood or maybe both. The answer of this will make the treatment plan vary. But even if I was not sick with either of these I am sick in other ways which make me very tired and often can't get out of bed, just a couple of the things wrong with me is IgG deficiency, 2 different types of Anemia, fibromyalgia, migraines, chronic fatigue syndrome...that is just the top of the list. I have two girls ages 13 and 10 whom I love very much. I am wondering how much everyone thinks I should tell them about my illnesses. I have been pretty much open (to a point) with them up until now because it has been just us three this whole time, up until two months ago when we finally moved back to be around family. But, what is everyone's opinion? How much should I say to prepare them?

You can let them know it's serious, but don't let them believe you're dying until/unless you have 3 different opinions that say you have a short amount of time left. They will need to know that you may need their help with things, and you need to trust and have faith that the kids are strong enough to handle it. Try to keep a positive attitude so they don't get discouraged. Praise them when they are being helpful and reassure them that they'll be ok no matter what happens.

Do you have a plan for their care should worse come to worse?

Thank you for your response and concern. Yes, I already have a plan A, B and C (lol) if I receive bad news or even if something bad happens to me and my kids need to be taken care of. A will is something very important to have and i have had one for quite a few years now and I am 38 will be 39 at the end of the month.

Again thank you for your comments and thoughts. It has helped me feel better. May you have a great day.

Prayers right back to you and your family. Thank you for your thoughts and inspirational writing. It is easy to feel lost and very over whelmed at times. You are right about not mentioning the cancer until I know for sure, its just I am just scared that I would have had a chance to explain things in a better way if the doctors come back with bad news of a fatality fashion. But, I think you are correct.

Again thank you for the reassurance. And, may you receive continued blessings.
