My dtr is 19 yrs old, second yr in college...I put her on b/c pill for preventive measures, I thought because she has always had a heavy periold...She started with the pill due to her schedule she didn't find that to be the way to go....So she switched to the "Depo shot" 1st one still bleed off and on for several months...took ibuprophen stopped for a few days, started back up again...Came home for the summer and went to GYN and she gave her a double dose due to the continuous bleeding (she lost 10 pds instead of gaining freshman 15 lbs) tried the ibuprophen again stopped and started back up...GYN gave her pills to take to stop the bleeding it did for about a week and a hlf...Well you know what happened....She says shes tried of taking the pills she wasn;t getting the depo any more shes very frustrated and so am I....She half way eats will not take vitamins or iron pills,,,all types of test have been ran and so far she's only anemic...What can we do and what do you suggest in referrence to getting nutrional shakes because she's not a big eater.

I had a friend's daughter that had similar issues; the girl got off all medications, cleaned her system out for one month, and then went to a good nutritionist to help her with vitamins and mineral deficiency. She is not sexually active right now; she is just working on getting herself

together and healthy. Acupuncture also helped control the heavy bleeding; she is feeling much better, has more energy and does not intend to go back on any drugs.

Good luck.
