I am having the hardest time right now in my life trying to find my path.My daughter is almost 16.
She does her own thing now. She doesn't need me anymore as she did when she was a small child. My husband just started a NEW fulfilling job (in public) Lol Meanwhile, I feel lost. I've been at home so long,I don't feel useful anymore. I have anxiety as well. Can anyone relate to me?Thank you all for listening.

I completely relate to you. My oldest is 18 , graduating and moving out for university right away, my youngest is 12 but is becoming very independent and I'm left feeling very similar. I also have anxiety so I really relate to you. They still need us. They are lucky to have stay at home moms, even just knowing someone is there if they need to talk , even if they never do..they know we're there. My husband does shift work and I know he likes that I am there on his days off too. We're still needed!! It may just not be in the same way as before. If she plays sports or anything like that, you could get involved and volunteer . I've heard it said that in some ways , they need us more during teen years then the younger years. I hope that helps some. You're not alone in any case.
