Why won't my 15 year old daughter eat?

My 15 year old daughter hasn't been eating very much. She used to just diet but now she eats a little and throws it up. I've caught her making herself throw up or in the middle of trying too. Is this a normal thing for a teenage girl?

I've tried to get her to eat even just a little more, but she never will. She won't even eat 1/4 of the food she used to eat. Is it always because the person doing it thinks there fat? Or can there be other causes? Her sister (16) used to do it too. Would she just be copying her sister?

Like Dove said, throwing up after eating is called Bulimia and is a serious eating disorder. You need to get her specialist help and not just brush it off as a teenage thing.
She also needs help with her self esteem so she loves her body the way it is. Eating disorders can stay with people for life and she will battle those voices in her head all the time. She needs to learn how to ignore them.
You need to take it seriously before it's too late.
