Throwing toy! How do I get my 20 month old son to stop

My son is 20 month old and is into throwing his toys. He throws them when we are playing down stairs in the family room and over the baby gate in his bedroom when I take a bath( he room is next to the bathroom so I can watching the whole time) He has been doing this for about 2 month and nothing I have tried seems to discontinue this behavior. I have tried saying no and taking the toy away. I have tried the old school method of lightly tapping his hand and saying no. i have tried making him stand in the conrner for about a minute. But so far he just laughs and finds it funny.

The big problem is he actually has a good arm so it can hurt when I get hit with the toy.So i will take any suggestion

Let' s put a positive spin on this, he is priming this arm to be a great pitcher on some baseball team. So lets give him a goal. try getting a soft ball with a net and place a bulls eye to it. better yet, lets let him throw his toys in the toy chest. Or use the reverse psychology, every time he throws, hive him a great throw son, lt's do that again!!! sometimes you can be priming him to get your attention by your frustration of his actions. take a closer look at more than the throwing of the toys.
