I am new to this community and wanted to say hello to all you mums out there. I am 51 and blessed with 3 beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren. Although the empty nest have given me much flexibility with my life at this point, I still miss my family since we live in different states. Currently my soon to be 2 year old grandson is here which has brought back lots of memories when the girls were that age. I would not trade this time with him to save the world. He is such a joy....but I must say the joy of grandparents is we can give them back. Mums, enjoy the seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years your precious ones are with you. Only God knows what the future holds. If someone had told me years ago I would be in a different state and only able to see my children/grandchildren a couple of times a year I would not have believed them. Funny how that works, confirmation pay attention God is in control.

Thanks for sharing, 4 more days with the grandson and it has been a joyous almost 4 weeks. His mom misses him dearly and I'm sure I'll miss him but looking forward to the quiet once again.
