I'm 41 and have a 7year old and twin 4 year olds. I enjoy parenthood but definately lack the energy at times to keep up. Look forward to reading about what other moms do...

I am turning 41 next month and have an 18 year old and twin 6 year olds. I understand your lack of energy but highly suggest healthy diet and exercise. They have really help boost my energy!

Thanks for the responses :-). Interesting to read other perspectives. I don't regret having kids later as I enjoyed a full career , traveling and time to do some things that would have never been done if I had kids earlier...now I just have to live without the independence that I grew so accustomed to. I am currently not working. It's the first year that I am not working at least part time, so now I have time to focus on my kids. I help in my older daughters classroom and do all kinds of activities. It's nice spending time with my twins at home though it's a good period now that they are buddies and love to play with each other. I really don't have to entertain them. This is nice. Everyone told me that the hardest part with twins was the beginning , but now it's so much better having a play partner all the time. We do quite a bit....and  by the end of the day , I just want to take a nap and that's just not going to happen :-)....

Thanks for sharing and welcoming me into the group!

Quoting Lori:

Hi,

Although my children are grown with children of their own, keeping up with them and my grandkids can be very tiring to :), but I wouldn't change it for the world!

Keep up the great work!

Hello Kelly welcome to 40 yrs old mums........ I can see that your a busy lady with a 7 yr + twins 4 yr old..........this you know.............and this was me about  a couple of years for me.......

My older child Sylvain was only 2 1/2 when I took the twins home from the hospital this was my full-time job for 10 years I was very fortunate to be able to stay home and teach, watch they grow, and of course cannot forget double the fun & double the love with the older sibling.........

now..........My name is Jeanne I have 3 children my older son Sylvain is 19 years old with Twins Matthieu (ADHD) & Natalie will turning 17 years old on the 3rd of March. I'm a single mom over 40 will be 45 this coming May.

I totally agree with you about parenthood is definately lack of the energy just to keep up everyday. I hope a lot of support.........?

I'm really looking forward of being part of the mom’s team and hopefully we can learn and all grow together to become a better person.

As for me:

I’ve battling chronic depression + anxiety for over 15 years and now I have Fibromyalgia wow this major work for me to be a stay home mom, and sick......

Keep in touch & take care!  Jeanne
