I'm trying to get pregnant too because I really want a daughter and my 8 year old son really wants a little sister. I've been trying for a while too and even though I have sex during ovulation I'm still not pregnant. My nephew's Mum seems to get pregnant whenever she wants (although she's 20 and I'm 27) and she said she would ensure she got pregnant when she wanted and with a girl and of course she DID. So now I REALLY want to get pregnant with a girl. A son and daughter is what I want. The ovulation calander is a great idea! I think you're supposed to have sex day 12 after your period to day 17. It also depends on your partner's sperm. Keep positve and keep trying. I will be!

Also consider trying folic acid....A friend of mine tried that after going off the pill that she was on for 5 years and 3 months later she was pregnant Good Luck!!!!

Thank you jessica very much. just this past month i started the ovulation calander. just one question. do you start it on the first day of your period or the last?

I tried for almost 2months, i made an ovulation calander and mark the days i was most like to concive. I also layed in be for 15 -20 minutes after intercourse. If you or your partner use drugs or alcohol you should stop. Also taking an over the counter prenatal pill with DHA to get your body ready for the change. It is said that DHA taken for at least 3months before you conceive is better for the development for the baby's brain. Less stress and at try to get good sleep and enough of it. I hope this helps! Good luck
