I. A Gem of an Idea
PASSION. It’s the one single word, the magic potion, “the only possible ‘secret I could think of, to explain success,” says Genevieve Lim, founder and CEO of Zagu Foods Corp.

Lim was a young bubbly 25-year-old out-of-work fresh graduate in 1999 when she opened her first Zagu Shake kiosk in an austere corner of a bowling center at Valle Verde in Quezon City....

II. Miracle, live on ‘Dr. Love Radio Show
(I am wiping away tears while writing this, ha.)
JANICE (NOT her real name) was holding a bottle of pills and ready to gulp them down and call it quits. But first she was going to end the lives of her four young children before ending her own.

That was the scenario in her mind when she called dzMM Teleradyo on Tuesday night. When Janice called out for help, the “Dr. Love Radio Show...
Janice was not the only caller last Tuesday night, but she was the one who held the listeners’ breath. She wanted to end her and her children’s lives. She had a problematic husband (uncaring, addicted to gambling) and sick children who, that night, hadn’t had supper. One of them had bleeding gums and another could be heard throwing up. Janice had a doctor’s prescription but she had no money to buy the medicines.

Her crisis had begun long ago. From the sound of her, one could surmise that Janice was at the end of her rope and had no one to turn to. She was ashamed to run to her parents. Although she was working in the Department of Education, her earnings were not enough to support a household. Her husband, who, she said, just got a job after many years of joblessness, was often in the casino.

III. What for? For whom?
'I once gave the Anointing of the Sick to a very rich man. He had three nurses attending to him in his hospital suite. As I was praying over him, he was pleading: “Father Orbos, please heal me. Anything you want I will give you. Please heal me!” To this very day, I can never forget the desperate look in his eyes. What is sad is that till the very end, he was still relying on the power of his money instead of relying on the mercy of God'....

Find out what your cutoff is -- and then when you find a business you want to do and figure out where you want to begin and where you want to go with it. Do you want to build fast and replace the benefits? Do you want to pace yourself, just making right under the radar, until you are ready to jump that hurdle?? The main thing is the cutoff -- how much more money do you have to make before you get cut off or limited?? That is the question :)
Hope you find what you are looking for :)

also if you type in on google benefits calculator choose the one that is by directgov and if you answer the questions as though you are working and just put the hours u want to do for the ones you are and the money u hope toearn in the section for what you do earn and at the end it calculates how much benefits you are entitle to if you end up losing some take away how much your rent is from how much u hope to earn to see if you will be better off on benefits and working or just on benefits.

Cash leaves no clues. ;-) Basically, any extra income you're making will (as well as it should) be used against the benefit amounts you're currently recieving. I've long thought it really does place people in a pickle- those who do want to improve their circumstances are facing some serious ethical dilemas in the quest to better themselves. I would contact a case worker and ask them what the income criteria so that you have the full information and go from there. Best wishes.

I believe there is a certain amount that each state says you can make before they cut off your benefits and what I do is commission based so you can adjust how much money you make by how hard you work so if you are interested in more information call this number 951-262-3335...its a 24 hour information line. If you feel its something you would like to do then request an interview at
