My DD will be 11 months in a couple of weeks. Since she was about 7 months, I've tried repeatedly to get to drink from a sippy cup with no luck. I've tried with and without handles. With hard and soft spouts. Ive tried the kind with the straw. Even a normal cup like we drink out of. No luck. I've tried putting her formula in it and all she does is chew on it. So then I figured I would get smart and try putting water in her bottle. She won't drink it. I've also tried diluted juice, milk, and (out of curiosity) sweet tea. She won't drink anything except her formula in a bottle. How in the world can I wean her? It's starting to get hot here and I know she's going to need more fluids, but won't take them! I never had this problem with my DS...he weaned himself!

they get enough fluid from the formula and i agree with Michelle. If she would realy be thirsty she would drink. If she is healthy and happy then dont worry and give her time.

She's not ready so stop pushing her. Is it a problem for her to have a bottle? Let her decide when it's the right time and you won't have the battle.
