10 week old with reflux

My son is 10 weeks old and has reflux, we have him on medication from his doctor and it seems to be working, but as a result of his reflux he will not lay in his crib or lay flat at all. We have him sleeping in his cradle swing which is working and his doctor says its fine for him to do so. I just want to know how I can get him sleeping in his crib, and if anyone is having the same issues. I dont mind sleeping in the living room with him, but I would love to sleep next to my fiance:) HELP?!

My son had the same problem. You can go to Babies R' Us or where ever you shop and pick up an incline for the crib. It goes over the matteress but under the sheet. It will help elevate his head, which will eleviate some of his digestion issues.

We put a pillow under his mattress - worked like a charm. He also had a sleep wedge to keep him on his side....It all also depends on the severity of the reflux, as to how much ¨incline¨ he will need.

My daughter (8 wks but 6 wks premie) had the same problem until I started putting her to sleep on her tummy. I also have a crib wedge in her crib and that helps too. She no longer throws up while she's sleeping and she sleeps for long periods and will even put herself to sleep. My peditrician said it was safer for her to be on her tummy because the risk of choking or asperating when she vomits is high because of the reflux. I have an angel care baby monitor that sounds an alarm if the baby stops breathing so that helps ease the stress a bit. Hope this helps!
