I have an 11 month old daugther who does not want to crawl. I've been working with on it but it tends to get her increasingly upset to the point of tears. She prefers to stand and work on steps. Also, she has started teething and will not sleep throughout the night. She takes two 4 oz bottles but will not take a big dinner before bed.

If I place her in her pack n play or crib she'll hold onto the rail/side and stand for 5-10 mins at a time. No walking on/to or with furniture though, and her steps are really shaky. I had a developmental screening for her just last week and they were concerned that she wasn't crawling at her age. I admit, this did scare me. She, just like your son likes to scoot on her bum and army crawl with just her hands.

She was sleeping through the night when I first brought her home but she wakes atleast twice a week now, and it's gone from a simple whine to a bone chilling scream. She has a lot of teeth coming in at once and seems to want a bottle around midnight. Also, she seems to get gassy at night.

If she is standing and walking around furniture why are you forcing the crawling issue? My middle child didn't learn how to crawl until after she had mastered walking. My little one now kind of shuffles on his bum and walks around furniture but has absolutely no interest in crawling.

Some babies don't sleep through the night until they are over a year old. My eldest was 15 months before she would. To slowly ween her from a feeding we would cut back the amount we were giving her until we would only offer a little water. My middle child was 13 months before sleeping through and my little one now is almost 11 months and still gets up once a night.

Good luck with your daughter
