My 13month old boy has no teeth. Is that normal? Hes had 2 that I can see at the top for weeks now and often gets a temp and runny nose but none seem to cut. My first son had a mouthful at this age.

my daughter had teeth by the time she was 4 mos. ole, but my son didn't get any until he was almost 1. They way i see it they will come in when they come in. there isn't any way to make them grow anyway. My son is 1 and 1/2 now and has his first dental visit scheduled for nov. I would recommend that you go ahead and call the pediatric dentist in your area and ask for a well-baby checkup. they look at the gums and count whatever teeth are there. I really believe that you should take your child to the dentist as soon as your pediatrician recommends it (in my case it was between 1 and 1/2 and 2 years of age) My daughter is 3 and 1/2 and getting her first cleaning done in nov. as well.

My son is now 10 months & still not got any but my mum told me i was 14 months before i got my first tooth. People have also told me the later they get them the better as they will be stronger healthier teeth i dont no how ture this is. I wouldn't worry too much as you can see them you know they are there just not in any hurry to cut .

A little girl that use to babysit was the same way. She was a twin and was the last one born. She was little but not really that bad. She really started getting her teeth in about 15 months, then they all came in at once. It is normal for them to run a temp, and have a runny nose. He could also get an ear infection. It is almost like an adult getting an sinus infection. Ihave you ever had a bad tooth or just a tooth problem and your nose starts to run or your ear has a pain the runs though it. It can hurt but it will get better. Just look at it like this at least it will happen all at once and not bunch of times. Hope this help, good luck and best wishes.
