I had that problem as well with all my pregnancies.I found being dehydrated made it even worse. If you feel a headache coming on try drinking a ton of water even if you don't feel thirsty. That seemed to help me a bit.

I also got migraines while I was pregnant, had a week straight with a horrible headache all the time. I was beside myself. I had talked with my OB and she took it very seriously. It is safe to take some prescription pain killers while pregnant. I took Tylenol #3, but could have taken Lortab also (however I'm allergic to it.) It was a lifesaver and once I could get the headache to break and get some good rest I was better.

Whatever you do do not take Ibrobrofen or anything with it in if you get really desperate and paracetamol doesn't work my consultant told me that 1 co codomol would be safe as this has no Ibrobrofen.

I know people say avoid drugs but sometimes it is not possible, I know from experiance, just be very careful and if in doubt ask the chemist what is safe most of them know more than the Dr and you don't need an appointment.

I'm a migraine sufferer. But during my pregnancies I never had them.  certain foods trigger my migrains. Chocolate anything with cafine, really sugary foods can make it worse. Dehydration is a biggy. Drink lots of water. I also get migrains if I don't get enough Calcium. They are the worst pain evern.  Cold helps mine. well cold head warm body.lol.  But I put the cloth both over my eyes and at the back of my neck. I read that if you take caffine right as soon as you start getting it, it can help. This did not work for me but I'm sure you're at the point where you'd try anything. But talk to you doctor. They tend to know whats best.

I only started getting migraine while i was preagnant with my second child and i bought this aroma therapy oil from sage that is used to treat migraine which seemed to help a bit but eventually my migraines got so bad near the end of my pregnacy that i lost my sight for a couple of days which was extremely scary but my doctor just recommended alot of rest and to drink alot of water. Maybe you could try aroma therapy and i hope this helps.

You should tell your doctor.  I had high blood pressure during my pregnancy and horrible headaches and my doctor took it very seriously.  I was also given a medication for my migraines.  You may not feel comfortable taking something like that, but I was getting a migraine every single day.  My doctor told me to only take it when I needed it and I ended up only taking three out of the twenty pills that were in the bottle.  Headaches are common during pregnancy, but can be a warning sign.

Hi i had this when i was pregnant as well, i went to the doctor and they said that headaches should always be checked out because they can be a sign of high blood pressure. Be careful what you eat because i was craving oranges something bad and the dr said that coffee, oranges, chocolate and wine are really bad for migranes. As soon as i stopped eating oranges I came good... no more migranes :)

I got migraines all the time before I got pregnant...they miraculously went away during my pregnancy and since I've given birth to my son, they've been back.

What helps me the most is a cold, almost frozen, washcloth laid over my eyes and I need to lay down almost immediately in a dark dark room and I can't have any noise. I try to do that as soon as I can when I feel it coming on...then they seem to go away quicker. But I have had the migraines last several hours. Also, do take some regular strength Tylenol...it's safe to use while pregnant.

Also a suggestion...if cold compresses don't work, try heat. I have friends that swear by heat for their migraines. Heat seems to aggravate mine.
