My 2 and a half month old baby girl has been consipated latley. I recently had to change her formula because she kept throwing up after she ate with the Simlac.. So i switched her to something that was most like the Simlac which was Enfamil A+.. ever since i switched it around a month ago she's been consitaped on and off some of her poops are hard and don't stick tot he diaper and some are normal ( color is fine) i've tried putting a tiny but of baby prune juice in her formula to sofen things up but it hasn't seemed to work. I really don't want to switch her formula again.. Any suggestions?

Have you tried baby massage - circular clockwise movements on the tummy just undr the rib cage can help as well as plenty of water.Hope you find something that works. :)

my daughter has only had it a couple of times, like emma said baby massage really helped me, and between feeds i give her water as shes gets thirsty and that helps her go 2, it will take her body a little while to get use to the new formula and to digest.

My son had the same problem..go to your health food store and get baby powdered acidopholis < sp? Keep her on this forever! It of course will take a little while to start working but once it does she will poop normally every day! Also look on the internet for ways to massage her tummy. Good Luck!

When my baby (now 6) was 8 months old, she became very constipated and it broke my heart! I talked to her doc and he told me to try to put some mineral oil in her bottles...not a lot, just a little. I even did some prune juice and mineral oil...she didn't care for that very much. But the mineral oil in the formula seemed to help things along! Of course, talk to your doc first...Hope this helps!
