My daughter has had cold like symptoms for about 2 weeks now. She has been to the doctor but they say she is fine and just has to get over it. I am not sure if it is an actual cold or just allergies. She coughs in the morning and at night but rarely during the day. What can I do to help her from coughing at night and waking up coughing?

talk to your ped about baby vicks and also a humidifier will help a great deal. my son has bad sinus problems and we lived for that humidifier when he was younger. also you can giver her otc cough med if your ped approves. she will give you the chart or correct dose for your baby's weight and age.

How old is your daughter? I know they say colds get worse at night. I suffer from allergies and mine are awful all day! Not everyone gets a fever with colds either, so you just might have to wait it out. Good luck!

How old is your daughter? When my son was about 4 1/2 months for a month straight he would wake up every night coughing and would stay up at least three to four hours coughing and crying. We took him to the doctor twice and they told us the same thing that he just had a cold....they said that he cought something else before the first cold was gone, we were like ok. Then when he was about 5 1/2 months we called them and asked could they test him for allergies and they told us to wait untill his 6 month check-up....it was no way that we could go another two weeks like this he was overly tired and so were we. So we took our son to another doctor and said look y'all have got to do something cause I know that something is going on with my baby....they changed his formula and I'll have you know that night he slept through the night without coughing or crying. My son was on Simulac Advance they switched him to Alametum ( I don't know if I spelled that right) it is still a Simulac brand. Maybe you could try that and see if it works. Hope things get better for your daughter and yourself.
