I'm at my witts end my daughter who is currently 3 and going to Jk this september is going through a Whinney stage. Everything good or bad she Whines about. I made her super she whines that she doesn't want to eat, I help her clean her room she whines that I'm helping her then I stop and she still whines only this time because I'm not helping her. I thought I was doing pretty good making our household rules easy to follow and not complicated. But I'm not sure what to do about all this whinning. I missed "terrible two's" Could this be a delayed after shock of that??? What can I do do get the whinning out of her system now before it gets any worse? (Which I couldn't imagine at this point!)

I didn't mention my youngest daughter in the earlier post because I thought it was irrelevant but know i think we can all see it must simply be a girl thing :)

My cousin just gave me an idea when My daughter is crying alot and whinning and not listening to ask her to put her tears away count to three then get her to show me and tell her if she does it again then she's going straight to her room. So I think I'm going to try this and see how it works. I'm crossing my fingers girls! Maybe it might work for your girls too!

My daughter is 3 and very whinny and demanding. She is the oldest. I have another daughter who is gonna be 2 in a couple weeks and my oldest is teaching her bad habits. I am not shocked but annoyed. I am pregnant with twin girls and i am so scared what is in my future with all these girls. It is hard to disipline right now cause i need to be stress free and relax for the babies but i can't help but loose it when she whines and demands everyday about everything. I do put the girls in thier room for an hour a day just so i can get a break. It is just a phase but i am ready for it to be over.

I am in the same situation except my daughter is demanding on top of it!!! I went into a doc`s offices crying at wits end as well wanting to get her on some sort of meds that I truly dont agree with but I didnt know what else to do. he told me to remove her from everyone in the home by placing her in her room door open or shut (when you cant take it any more, you need a break) your choice... It doesn't give you a very good felling but it works. The other suggestion was ignoring her - I know, yeah right!!! (my thought exactly) I have even shut myself in a room and yes my daughter is that bad. Also she love to watch t.v. period the end doesn't matter what show it is she likes the noise which in my case I use to my advantage. Its like grounding her from things she likes, but i also try to explain why that happens as well...
