I am 37 weeks 2 days with my first baby, I was wondering how long it may before before little Allie gets here by hearing other Mom's experiences. First of all I was in the hospial at 30 weeks for contractions they had to stop for three days, since then i havent been sure wheter or not to think I may have her early. I had my weekly check-up today and my doctor did my internal and last week I was 1 cm, and my cervix was very soft. I had to go in Saturday for fluids and medicine I had caught a virus and couldn't keep anything in, the nurse told me I was -2 and still 1 cm with my cervix still thick. As I said when I went today my doctor said her head was engaged, cervix still has some thinning to do, I'm a little over a cm now and 50% effaced. I was excited since Saturday I wasn't progressed much, what does everyone else think? He also talked like he may see me before my appointment next Tuesday. I'm very excited, just waiting and wondering. :)

Baby will be here when she's ready. At 37 weeks you still have a little way to go. Doctors can't predict when you go into labor. Chill out and enjoy the last few weeks or days. Once baby gets here, you world will be turned upside down.

My son was a month early. I went for a scan at 35 weeks and 3 days with him because they thought he was going to be a big baby. After their checks he was on the larger side but I hadn't satrted dialating and was told I still had ages to go, I had him 2 days later.

When I fell pregnant with my daughter I was really worried through my whole pregnancy that she might be early too. I didn't relax until I got to 38 weeks. She was born at 39 weeks and 3 days but I was going to be induced on my due date with her.
