At 39 weeks 6 day pregnant(day before my due date) I saw my OB for my last check up. I had stayed the same for about 3 weeks(1.5 cm Dilated and 25 percent effaced). I was upset that I had not progressed more because I have been feeling worse everyday(Tender Stomach, Sides, Hips, Pelvis etc) Oh and Nausea kicked in again. Doctor told me it did not mean I wouldnt Progress more soon and not to worry(Baby finally decided to drop slowly which was good news). At that visit he tried stretching out my cervix once again to try to get things moving. Last night(40 weeks 1 day pregnant), I lost my Mucus plug 2 times. Each time It was A lot and by a lot, I mean LOTS! No bloody show though(Doctor told me at 36 weeks that I most likely already lost my plug without knowing it even though I had been checking for it for the past 2 months)Once this morning too. I have been keeping active more then usual because I want him here. I walk/move alot. Non-stop. Been keepin busy. Loosing your mucus is a sign your dilating more. So my question is, Do you think Castoril Oil is a safe thing to take to try and get things moving along? I see negitives and positives. I am slighly scared to try it out. Iv tried Sex, but it's starting to hurt me. But the keeping active thing seems to be working but not fast enough. Either way Im in thursday for a ripenning and friday for an Induction.(I would rather go into labour naturally)

I did the castoril oil because I was two days past my due date and my dad talked me into it . It dose help but it tasted nasty, as soon as well I took a spoon full I puked. I then waited a couple hours before trying it a again but I got smart and put it in chocolate pudding still tasted nasty but not as bad as it was by it self. But I did start having labor pains. I would never do it again . Any I had my first son the next day I was in 26 hours of labor. Not sure if that was because sj was my first. If u do decide to go thurgh with the castoril oil put in something that will be strong enough to hide the taste
