My daughter has a bad cough, you should get his chest listened to, but if it's just a cough, I was told that as long as your baby is having wet diapers and no fever. It's probably just a cough and it sucks. You can get some saline nasal drops for the sinus congestion, baby vicks (rub on his feet) and a humidifyer. It really sucks to have a sick baby, hopefully yours gets better soon.

Call your doctor or take him in if you feel concerned. If his chest sounds wheezy it could be bronchitis. My son just had it. They take some puffers and a medication and it goes away. But if it's in his lungs it's good to have a doctor listen...especially if you find it getting worse. My doctor told me it's unusual for a cold to get worse instead of better...so that's usually a sign to get them checked.

I would take him in!! My son was 6 weeks and had a cough that made me choke and then as it progressed his lips were starting to turn blue durring the fits! They ended up diagnosing him with pertusis (I think its how its spelled) or also called whooping cough! Not saying that this is what it is..I just get scared now when I hear about little babys with a bad cough!!
