9 month old not crawling

This is my first time posting on here, so I should start by saying hi Everyone! My son is 9 months old and despite spending a lot of time on his tummy, sitting up well and pulling himself up to standing by grabbing my hands or clothes (but not the furniture, oddly), he is still not crawling and I am starting to feel like a complete parental failure. I do everything I can think of to encourage him, but he prefers to roll or "floor swim" to wherever he wants to go. He can get his knees under him and lift his chest and tummy up on his arms, but never both at the same time! He's only just starting to get teeth, so I didn't know if maybe that is part of the reason for the delay since he has been concentrating so hard on gumming everything he can get his hands on for months. I'm a first time mum and my husband thinks I'm being paranoid, but I just wondered if anybody here had experienced the same problem?

Hi there. I have 3 angels. I have so many friends who have children, and really, your baby might just NOT be a crawler. Every child is so different and we cant rely on books or stories that say that at this age the baby SHOULD be doing this and that. There is not 1 kind of human, and there is definately not 1 way for anyone to be! He sounds fine to me, he is developing on every other level, he's progressing, no paranoia needed. Relax, your blessed!
