Mine also came out around that time, It freaked me out when it happened, but afterwards found it was normal. My dr said they would dissolve but they just fell out really. It did leave scar tissue but not alot, I could just feel where the stitches had been the skin was more tight, and firm just as any other scar.
With such trauma our goods go through it does take a little bit to get back to normal. I stayed sore for longer than normal, like 9 wks and couldnt have intercourse for longer. But the typical 6 wks is a round about of how long it takes to heal, everyone is different though. Ive heard of those having sex before 6 wks and idk know how that happens but I suppose its possible for people to heal quicker than 6 wks.

Dont worry you will get back to normal just give it time.

I wanted to add I agree with Kimberly. The sitz bath, dont know how to spell it. It was really annoying to me to do it so often, but it did feel good and really really helps healing time. I cant rem exactly but I think my dr said about 7 a day. lol just check the water temp before you do it, even when you think its ok, it is imperative lol I found that out the hard way

I only had stitches with my first and that was 11 years ago but mine came out about that time. And I healed just fine. Even tho the stitches are gone you still need to rinse with warm water every time you use the bathroom. I was given a little bottle at the hospital that I could put the water in and rinse. I've had 2 other children since then and didn't have to have stitches but 11 years later mine is fine and the husband says it feels like I never had any children lol. Hope this helps :)

I never checked down there either. But I remembe it being extremely uncomfortable and down right painful when they were starting to come out. It hurt to sit down. I didn't take any painkillers or anything. Just keep the area very clean ie wash with water after going to washroom.

lmao @ kimberly-thats funny bc iv had stitches with all of mine and my fiance has said the SAME thing ab not obly being "tight" but feeling tigjter than before! And again as silly as it may sound..i think whether a woman wants to admit or not that we all fear we may not feel right again for our husbands so that said is exactly why iv worried that my stitches came out so early! So yes THANK U SOOO MUCH for the very encouraging yet relieving words...lol

The sitz thing helped a lot! Plus it helps to keep it from getting infected! Lol no one wants that! You treat it just like you would if it was anywhere else on your body. And yes make sure the water is Luke warm. Even if it feels warm on your hand it might be too hot for down there, it's very sensitive after its been ripped open and a 8 lb baby popped out (in my case lol) but I promise you it will be normal again. Actually my husband told me that his friend said that his wife feels a little loose after 3 kids(no stitches) but he said that mine is really tight. Guess cuz of the scar tissue, maybe it tightened it up and since scar tissue can't really stretch like regular skin would it just stays tight. Just my opinion lol so maybe it's a blessing in disguise! Lol

So yes-it worried me to death that iv had 3 children and my stitches never came out this early this time simply bc not only did i have an episiotmy but i ripped too!!! And it wasnt pleasant..lol..anyway thank u Ashley for being there for a fellow "worrier"...lol...and thank u Kimberly for being the inly woman to come forward and freely speak about this to us without being judgemental:-)

Im jusst curious on what this means for my healing process and if everything will heal? Hopefully someone can help us out && thank you congratulations on yours also (:

I know this will be of NO help and im so sorry girl BUT the reason im writing is bc the exact same thing happened to me ab 5 days ago and this is my 3rd child and iv never seen my stitches come out that early so im just as worried as you are and i feel silly asking my doc ab it bc honestly i dont think he would do much so i really hope some moms that this has happened to and know the answer will feel comfortable enough to open up to you ab it so i know as well!
