Almost a month without birth control, could I have become pregnant?

Hello all! So here is my big question: I have been on birth control for just over a year, however I changed the brand I was on in February of 2013 due to migraines. The week of March 18-23 was supposed to be my period week, but because of the recent change I did t have one. On the 23 I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, and on the 24 I was hospitalized out of town, and I was unable to get my birth control for a week (march 24- 31) so that is two weeks without birth control. When I was released and able to get my birth control the pharmacy was out of stock of my birth control! So they ended up giving me one that was most similar, but not the same. So that is about 3 and a half weeks without true birth control at this point. I've been doing research and I took one pregnancy test that was negative, but from what I've read it still could be too early to register on an hpt. I still have a week to go before I know whether or not I will get my period, and I've had symptoms such as fatigue, heightened sense of smell, nausea and dry heaving. Jus to soothe my nerves until I either do or don't have my period, what is everyone's honest opinion? Could I be pregnant or just making a mountain out of a mole hill?

It could be a possibility that you're pregnant. Anytime you have unprotected sex, and especially without birth control, you risk becoming pregnant. I know sometimes when I think that I am something or whatever, I feel like I have all the symptoms of it and it turned out not to be true. I wouldn't freak out too much. Just wait and take a pregnancy test, or go to a clinic or doctor and get a medical pregnancy test.

Anytime you have unprotected sex you can fall pregnant. So the answer is yes it's possible but really we have no idea. You'll have to wait another week and take another test or see your doctor.
