ABSOLUTELY! It is quite normal. I am a Christian mom and I felt the responsibility to raise good children. It seemed like they fought me on every front. Then I read the story of the Garden of Eden with a different perspective and saw that even Adam and Eve made choices that displeased their father. I realized my children were living the plan that was established from the beginning. Opposition is necessary to learn good from evil. I learned about a wonderful family program that can be used with children as young as three and a half, and up to 13 that nearly eliminated this frustration and anxiety I felt as a young mother. I was called the happy face token system. It seemed to come with built-in consistency for me and encouraged the children to give happy obedience when asked to do something. It allowed me to breathe easier and begin to enjoy my stewardship as a mother like I had thought I would. There is a good website that explains it. http://christcenterdparenting.com
Good luck and Breathe!

Hello Staci! My name is Typh.
I can completely relate to you. I have days where I just wanna die because I cannot handle even the littlest thing as trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast. I get anxious often and it truly does suck!
Just know that you are not alone in this struggle!

I think that's quite a normal reaction. I have 3 boys (3 year old, 20 month old and 10 month old... and expecting number 4!) and I love them with all I have...but yes, there are times when I feel like exploding and wonder if I can really deal with it... but then all I have to do is remember their beautiful faces and I know it's all worth it. We all need to vent some times. If you can, try to get some help from family or friends you can trust (leaving the kids for a couple of hours once a week so you can be alone). We live in a relatively new city so we don't have many friends yet, but when family or others come and visit, I appreciate all the help they can give me entertaining the boys. The best advice I can think of is to work on your patience (I'm daily dealing with it but when I have the chance to dominate it, the boys and I feel much better :)

I've always had anxiety so now with my 13 month old I sometimes start to feel overwhelmed and like I might just spontaneously combust! But what honestly helps me stay calm and loving is repeating to myself that it's all just a phase in life. It's not going to be like this forever and I should just soak in the positive experiences and have a glass of wine after the really rough days. ha.

I am a first time mom and only have a 9 month old daughter and yes I do! I give you such props for coming on here and expressing yourself! We are all human its impossible to not have those moments. Im right there with you! Its important to create tools for yourself so you dont blow up! For example, when you handle something well rewarding yourself with a coffee or I dont know your favorite shampoo or even a new shirt could really help motivate you to deal with your reactions well. Good luck!
