OH, my girls think turning 30 is so old. I think they have told everyone it is my birthday today and of course that I am turning 30 (even complete strangers) LOL

Yes they have already started treating me like a princess!!

Thanks for the b-day wishes!!

well since 40 is the new 30, that makes 30 the new 20! lol
i personally am excited to turn 30 (although i am only turning 22) because it means that my kids will be 11 and 8 and that to me means i can go back to school, start a business, hopefully be able to afford to buy our own house by that time. but i am really looking forward to turning 40, because then my kids will be grown and i can travel, and do whatever i want without having to worry about babysitters, report cards, school fees etc. and then i can rub it in the faces of other mothers my age who still have grade schoolers LOL. i think in my case, because i had kids young, i'm going to look forward to getting older, because then that means i can finally feel younger (if that makes any sense) :)
and besides, it is just a number, you can always say you are are 29 years and 13 months old!

I think a list is what I need to make. I'll be 30 in Feb. No big fears yet, except what else is there to do. I don't think I've ever looked past what happens after you have the husband, the baby, the house and the career. What else is there. definitley need to make a list!

Happy Birthday! Cheers to You!

REMEMBER: "30, Flirty and Thriving!" lol.

30 is just another number, but now I am realizing that it can be more than that. As I look back on my last decade of fun, weight gain, babies, a beautiful marriage, a degree...what else do I hope to accomplish?

I actually started a list on my 29th birthday...1 month ago.

So far, I have quit smoking, I am learning sign-language, in the process of getting my Passport, started walking regularly (lost 8 lbs-I need to start tracking the inches...and do a reverse baby-bump photo montage. lol.), eating and serving healthier meals/snacks, OH! and I am treating my husband a little nicer...lol.

Now as far as the rest of my list-it is in progress...anyone else have a list?!

Trust me I didn't think I would be where I am today at age. I have 3 beautiful girls, a wonderful husband, a house on the lake, 2 successful businesses, lots of family and friends. I shouldn't worry about turning 30, my hubby is 6 years older than I am plus I am the youngest of all our friends. Hmmm sexual peak at 30 (not sure if that is possible....LOL) Funny we went out to a pub with friends last night and they were teasing me I am now entering the "cougar" era.

I know I will have a great day tomorrow- my husband and girls will make it absolutely perfect just like every year! Thanks for the b-day wishes!

I turned 30 in March. I really don't mind being 30, since I have so much to look forward to. I have a wonderful son and husband. We're trying to adopt, and there are so many new things to do and try. Life doesn't stop! My 20's were great, don't get me wrong, but I'm in the best shape of my life, and 30 is the start of something new!

Im not, I decided last year when I was turning 26 that I would start going backwards, lol. So Im 24 lol. Im not to worried about it, its just a number, I look good for 26, I see my DHs ex who is 28 and has all these nasty wrinkles like old ladies like around her eyes and lips and I just dont seem to have any. Ill be 27 in a few months and am ok with it. My DH is 31 and he didnt have a problem with 30.

30 is going to be a great year. I feel a more secure sense of myself! I feel like we are more sexy at 30, know who we are, and can love life. Don't be nervous, embrace it and love yourself!!!

I'm not that freaked out about it yet (check back in 2 years when it's right around the corner, though). The way I look at it is I have an amazing relationship with my husband, and two incredible kids. That's more than a lot of 30 year olds I know can say!

i love that i am turning 30 in 3 weeks.. i dont understand why it is such a taboo age. like your life is supposed to stop at 30,,,, i am embracing that i am getting older and enjoying what life has to offer and i heard that women reach their sexual peak at 30 lol!!!! so being 30 shouldnt be that bad!

Ugh. I have a year and 2 months till I am 30. And I hate every minute of it. My hubby makes fun of me all the time and tells people I am 32 already. He is a year younger. I am not celebrating my 30 and I don't want to think about it.
Just tell people you are 25+5, that always make me feel a little younger. lol

I have 2 years before the Big '30'... I think about it more than I probably should!! I don't think about it because I feel old, it's the FEAR of becoming NO FUN, or just being stuck in the over 30 catergorie!!!! LoL... I do firmly believe you are only as old as you feel but that's so much easier said than done!! but really at whatever age you are we should be proud of ourselves as good mothers, friends, neighbors, etc... embrass every aspect of life, 30's and all =)

Oh please don't remind me - the less I think about it the better....lol. Although I think that what they say about you are only as old as you feel is true to a certain extent.

The whole question didn't appear. Wondering if anyone is nervous about turning the big "30"??? I have only 2 more sleeps until I hit the big number. Not liking the thought of it yet.

Someone told me that it doesn't matter how old you really are, it matters on how old you feel on the inside. I can totally say I feel about 25yrs old!!!

One more thought.... do I have to find the next age group to join now, or do I still qualify in the 20-30 age group until next year?? LOL
