Are there any moms with heart rhythm disorders that have gone through a pregnancy?

Are there any moms out there who went through a pregnancy with a pre-existing heart arrythmia? How did your body handle the extra stress of pregnancy: increased blood volume, hormones and extra body weight? Did things ever get critical? I have Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia: ARVD and am VERY concerned about the physical stress of carrying a baby.

During knee surgery about 5 years ago, Dr's found that I had an irregular heartbeat and I've had it ever since. It's more noticeable during stressful situations but I have been able to train myself to control it by breathing techniques. I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant with my 2nd child and to be honest, my irregular heartbeat has been a concern for me as well. I just quit my job about a week ago. I was in undercover security. At times, my blood pressure would spike and it took forever for it to return to normal. I made the decision to quit out of fear that the added stress on my heart would cause more complications down the road. The best advice I can give you is to talk to your Dr. about your concerns and see what options are out there for you. I am fine now that I'm home and haven't had any problems since. And when I do get stressed out, I just concentrate on my breathing and then I'm fine. Hope this helps a little, even though my situation differs from yours. :)
