when i was pregnant i had hyperemisis (think thats how you spell it) i couldnt keep anything down, not even a sip of water, after 9 days of that i got taken to hospital, it went away for about a week but then had it again so back to hospital. i went to hospital 4 times, it stopped when i was 6 months pregnant. was horrile but the best diet i had ever been on.

so if it gets to the point that you cant get anything down go to the doctor... who will probably think your crazy when u tell him your pregnant and keep being sick!

Quoting Carly:

I took diclecton during my first pregnancy, it's prescription only and fairly expencive almost $1 a pill but it works like a charm, the doctor also told me I could take gaviscon and zantac for my heart burn. I found the worst was the taste of my mouth, eat what ever you want to eat, if you are trying to force things down because they are good for you it will never work.

Do you know the gender my first was a girl I was sick sick sick, my second was a boy I was barely queesy.

i was sick for 8 months i took dicletin everyday i lost 40 lbs my first 5 months...i ended up in hosp to get rehydrated a couple times.........thats what i was told eat what works no matter what it was....pepermint worked wonders...mints gum ect....and i had a beautiful healthy boy!

Ask your doctor about diclectin, it was a med that they gave me because morning sickness was so bad i was loosing far too much weight while i was preg for my first. Also try anything with lemon or ginger, and don't drink while you eat, the wieght on your stomach can trigger you to be sick.

my sister in law was put on a drip with her baby as she couldnt keep anything down.

go see ur dr and see if they can give u anythin anti sickness.

i know how u feel it is awful, i used to get it first thing and after work, try ginger biscuits, or ginger beer, it worked for me sometimes. it will go, but it's awful whilst u r still suffering! x

I had severe morning sickness throughout my entire pregnancy! I was the same as you couldn't eat or drink and everything smelt disgusting no matter what it was! try keeping water and ginger biscuits by your bed and in the morning before you get up nibble on a biscuit and sip the water! It doesn't make it go away but it sure helped me feel better! Hope this helps!

Preggo pops work great! and you can get them at Motherhood. Also anything with a sweet and sour lemon or grapfruit flavor, and peppermint. They say even the smell of those scents can help calm nausea. Also remember to eat something small as soon as you wake even if its just a half of a piece of toast. My doctor told me that being hungry and dehydrated from sleeping can cause serious morning sickness!

when i was preg with my first i was realy bad i had to go to hospital because i was throwing up water, anything i tryed to eat they gave me a drip it helped a lot. now im preg again my morning sickness is nowhere near as bad i think it is because i have a 11 month old to run about after and hes just learnt to crawl so i think that takes my mind of it. i have read that most woman expect to have sickness thats why they do its in the head i believe it but it is hard not to think about it. my doctor told me that at the begining of your pregnancy your body isnt used to having the baby there so it thinks it isnt supposed to be and thats why you feel sick in the first place. i hope you get well soon and congratulations :)

I had m/s pretty bad with my 1st and with this my 3rd, my 1st 2 are boys so i have found that gender doesn't really make a difference unfortunatly, I was prescribed a tablet called MAXALON it didn't stop my vomiting completely but definatly made a diffeernce

when i was preg. w/ my last child my morning sickness was the worst!!! i had it for about 6 mo. my doc gave me a med, i cannot remember the name but i will find out for u, it started w/ a F, but i got it in liquid form, it's what they give children. i could feel it coating my stomach, and i could eat. my bf had the same problem, she had morning sickness till the day she had her baby & i told her about the med and it was the only thing that worked so she could eat. i will find out the name in the morning and get back to u. also sour hard candy's are good to stop the feeling. the sourer the better. they make a natural one called Preg. Pop but sour candy worked just as good. also salt, just sprinkle a lil in ur hand and lick it. i know some times u don't even want to eat a cracker so the salt will do the trick to get rid of the feeling.
