My daughter loved to say dada. That's all we heard from about 4 months to around 10 months when Dada had a meaning. Then she said Mama as a babble for awhile until it had meaning around her first birthday.

Chloe said "mama" at 4 months. At first she would only say it when she was upset. Now at amost 8 months old, she holds up her arms and says "mama" whenever she sees me!

She started saying "mamamama" early, but I couldn't tell at what point she went from babbling it without meaning, to actually meaning me. I would say 10.5 months.
