Awkward in-between body phase of early pregnancy...

I am just wondering if others have felt this way too. I am 3 months pregnant with my 3rd child and I am having a lot of body image issues. I remember this awkward in-between phase being prominent in my other two pregnancies but I haven't found any threads/posts on it. I am having a really hard time feeling sexy/pretty right now. I have only gained a couple lbs but my belly is definately changing shape although I don't look pregnant yet. I don't fit in maternity clothes yet but my old clothes are getting tight and just don't make me feel good about myself. I am also suffering from worsened acne which doesn't help. Also my breast size hasn't increased at all yet (they got huge right away with my last pregnancies) and they are kinda small/saggy from all the previous breastfeeding so it's not like I can embrace my volumptuous chest yet. I especially feel down on myself when I am trying to look nice for date night with my husband. My libido has actually increased but I just can't match the way I want to look to what I see in the mirror. Non-pregnant I am small-waisted and my husband prefers slim women. (He doesn't say anything mean though.) If I was further along I could embrace my pregnant belly as I do believe baby belly's are beautiful. I guess I am just hoping if anyone else is feeling or has felt the same way. I would also love to know any tips on feeling pretty/sexy at this stage.

Here are a few tips that helped me through that phase. Do the rubber band or ponytail holder trick for making your jeans go a bit longer....I know Target also sells the band that covers the button and zipper part of the jeans. For the rubber band trick loop it around the button hole and then link it to the button. I also like the maternity tops that were gathered on the sides during this time. They seemed to flatter the body more. I also found that these were nice tops to wear after pregnancy too.....I had found that my old tops did not fit right due to the bigger chest with breastfeeding.....the gathering made me look like I was not wearing maternity, but it gave me room both on top and to breastfeed without feeling like I was showing a lot of skin.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I actually have all my maternity clothes out from the previous pregnancies they just look pretty ridiculous on me. I definitely feel you on that beer belly thing and I can't even enjoy the beer!

I felt the same way. It's hard when it's the "beer belly" stage right?! haha but what helped me was buying those maternity clothes 'cause my other shirts were too tight and made me feel worse. They have a lot of beautiful/sexy maternity wear these days. I would try Macy's and Target. Other than that there is nothing much you can do except wait 'til your belly pops more! Enjoy it while it lasts!
