I have a son who is two and we are now thinking about a baby #2... We are weighing the pros and cons and I just wanted to get some feedback from other people about how much more challenging is it to have two. I am worried about things like being able to sleep or give them both enough attention. Silly things, I am sure, but worries none-the-less.

i LOVE having two!! best decision i ever made! it can be hard work, but the rewards far outweigh the difficulties! as long as you include your son in things when new baby arrives, he will be fine. the sleeping thing worried my as my two share a room, but it worked out fine! seeing my two girls playing together is the best thing ever. i'm so so glad i had another baby!! :)

I have a 2 yr old little girl and an 8 week old boy. The transition from 1 to 2 was/is a little hard for me. My little girl is missing her mommy time; but her daddy is a big help! She still loves her baby brother. She doesn't quite understand that she has to be gentle with him. She wants to hold him, but is quick to push him off. She has accidently kicked him a couple of times when he's on my lap. He'll learn to be tough! She has started playing with her dolls since he came. Before she wasn't that interested in them. I've heard that they'll be close since they're close in age. I do love it, and it helps to have a husband that will help out!

I have 2 boys 21mths apart and I was also alittle worried but it was good. I think it would be harder to go from 2 to 3 kids. Your son is 2 so at a good age. My boy would always get the nappies for me and shake his bottle to help with the baby. So just include him with things. They play so well now and really its not hard having 2 it somehow just works. Go for it have the 2nd :)

Its really a personal decision of hoe far apart you want them. I can tell you I have two girls 11 months apart & I love it. I'm not going to lie its a lot of work, but its so worth it. If I had to do it over again I'd still have them that close together! I love seeing them play, thats awesome! I agree with the other moms about letting your son helping with the baby. Little kids love to feel like they are helping:)

I understand UR concerns completely. I have a 17 month old and am due in 9 days with my second. My husband and I are both worried about a lot of things. How we can manage with two small children. Every one has told me that it is harder to go from one to two children but that it is the best thing ever. Its great to give UR child some one to be close to..another sibling. Besides the nervousness I am very excited about it. I cant wait to see how my daughter will react to her sister. Good luck and hope all turns out well.

I have a 16 month old girl and I am 5 months prego with our son. I am so excited. My Pediatrician told us to just make sure to include our daughter with almost every aspect of the new baby. Talk to you Pediatrician, mine was really helpful.
