apparantly it can last for a good long time if you dont start to get help.

Have you spoken to your dr? I mean i still get very tearful over nothing... and my daughter is 1.  Something you can do is... to have a day a week where you do something fun.  You look forward to it and keep positive! x

Baby blues usually occurs 1-10 days postpartum due to hormonal changes, lack of sleep and the change of becoming a new mom but symptoms (anxiety, unexplained crying and irritability) usually pass quickly.Postpartum depression can occur between the first day postpartum up to a year symptoms are feelings of sadness or guilt, difficulty sleeping, crying all the time, sleeping all the time even when baby is awake, lack of appetite, worry about the baby too much, panic attacks, feelings of anger towards baby or thoughts of harming baby or yourself. Postpartum depression is quite common (approx 30% of new moms). If you have some of these symptoms then it would be wise to talk to a health care professional about treatment. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it, that's what they are there for.
Hope that helps :)
