baby hair

Has anyone else's baby's hair fallen out and/or changed color or texture? I hear this happens during the first year. My son was born with medium brown hair, but now it's kind of thinned out and been replaced with blond hair, except for a few wispy pieces on top and the cowlick in the back. Also, was anyone surprised by the color hair their baby was born with? I thought it was funny my son had brown hair when mine is blond and daddy's is black!

My mom said I was born with A LOT of jet black hair. She was excited because she thought the italian jeans came out in me. It fell out, grew back blonde, and then got darker over the years. My daughter has a lot of hair. It was probally about a quarter inch to a half an inch over her ears and off the back of her neck when she was born. So far, sometimes I think it's falling out but I noticed today that it seems to be getting thicker and longer, now it's about a half inch to a whole inch. I'm worried it's going to fall out, but I expect it. I'm just wondering up to what age it happens.

My daughter was born with a full head of thick black hair, and it has now lightened up quite considerably. She has also rubbed off a patch on the back and some on the sides from laying down so much, but the top is coming through thicker in sort of a mohawk shape lol. I think her hair might stay light brown while she's little but will probably go dark again as she gets older (mine did) as her father's hair is black.

My son was born with VERY thick DARK red hair. So dark it looked black, but when the sun would hit it there was no denying it was red. It thinned out so much during his first year, but he never lost it all. And, now it's just red, no mistaking anymore. The color was very shocking, niether me or my husband have red hair and I don't know anyone in my family who does!

My daughter was born with Dark brown (almost black) hair and when she was 6months she lost ALOT of it and had a mohawk thing going and now its a dirty blonde color and all over the place. And my son was born with medium brown color with blonde highlights (yes he had highlights when he was born) and now its light brown with like a reddish tint.

My sisters son was born with reddish brown hair but it fell out and replaced with blonde curls. Everyone at the mothers group I used to go to had blonde babies except a few and the blondes all lost their hair went completely bald and got new hair.
My son has his same brown hair from birth. it never shed but it has gotten lighter and thicker and longer. it was dark almost black and now it is light brown. But he never went bald or lost any hair

My daughter was born with super dark hair that got a little bit lighter. My son was born with medium brown and is now getting super blond.

The texture changes every time they get a haircut
