baby hair

My daughter is 6 weeks. She had A LOT of hair when she was born. It was about a half-inch over her ears and down the back of her neck. I've been prepared for it to fall out, but it seems to be getting longer (now about an inch past) and thicker. Is there a time where your past the time where it'll fall out? I was joking with my fiance that if it keeps going like it is, she's going to have her first hair cut at 3 months.

When my sister was born she had lots of long dark hair. It all fell out and came back so blonde that she looked bald when it was wet. But shes just had a baby a couple months ago with lots a dark hair and its not falling out so i think everyone is different.

I thought that my daughter wouldn't lose hers because she made it past the 3 month part...WELL, she started to lose it on the sides so she now rocks a mohawk and she got the bald spot in the back of her head. I have heard that some babies don't lose their hair at all and in fact saw a baby the same age as my daughter (5 1/2 months) who had the most hair I have ever seen on any baby....

you know this is the first time i have heard something like that. . .that it so weird. . and she is only six weeks so she doesnt' have the bald spot on the back of her head yet huh? i think if it was going to fall out it should have done so but im not sure. . maybe someone else might have had this happend before. . .

i remember when my daughter was between one and two and her hair looked like a mullet! it would just grow in the back, and everyone was asking my if i cut her hair and i would say do you think i would do that to my child? lol my son on the other hand has long hair and he looks more like a girl than my daughter did =)
