Quoting Misty:

oh and breastfeeding does burn 700 calories each feeding....its not for everyone but wow thats a good work out :D

Does anyone know if that is really true? My midwife told me you only need to eat an extra 300 calories per DAY when you're breastfeeding.

My son is now 9 months and I haven't lost any weight besides 20lbs of baby and fluid in the first week but my clothes are getting looser so I guess I'm building some muscle by hauling his 25lbs around all day.

I had lost most of mine by the time Cali was 2 weeks, but i fully lost all weight by the time she was 4 months. Breastfeeding really helped melt the pounds off, Im a smaller framed girl anyways and i had only gained about 26 pounds and she was 6 pounds 15 oz of it. I breastfed, fast walking, and did at home pilates, im actually 2 sizes smaller now. You will get there, it just takes time and you really have to keep up with it everyday!

Lost most of my baby weight with my first and second pregnancy. The thing is, if your like me, it's hard to keep it off. After my first baby was born I lost all but 5 lbs and thought I was good to go...then maybe a year later i gained it all back...I didn't change anything, it just gradually came back. The second baby I lost 20lbs within the the first month and a half, then got stuck so I started cardio. I got pregnant a month after so I didn't get to continue with my results, but before i found out I was prego with my third it was going very well. I suggest cardio and walking. walk 45 mins a day and run for 10 the next day, switch on and off days and eventually get up to at least 30 mins of cardio. That should do it....eat smaller portions of your meals and eat them 5 times a day. I know that works bc when I was nauseated with morning sickness that's how I ate, and i didn't gain anything for the first 4 months of pregnancy, I actually lost. Hope this helps...

I think Breastfeeding is a key factor. I gained 24 lbs with the pregnancy and have already lost all of it plus 2 more within 2 weeks. Now, I lost a lot of muscle with the pregnancy because I stopped working out so I still do not look like I did before the pregnancy but I am getting there. Also, I eat pretty healthy (lots of fruits and veggies) and drink only water (sometimes but rarely juice).

I was obese to begin with. I only gained 15 lbs w/ea pregnancy. Back in January my husband and I decided to join Weight Watchers and see how it worked. I must say it seems a little overwhelming at first to have to figure out point values and track what you eat, but after the first month or so it comes second nature and gets easier and easier. I have lost a total of 35 lbs since joining WW. If I was following all the suggestions like excersizing and being 100% faithful the whole time I could have lost double that, but atleast it's something! Right now they are having a special deal where the registration is free and 4 weeks free when you have them bill your debit or credit card. I know I sound like a spokes person for them or something, but I swear I am not. I just really wanted to tell you how well it works for us and how much happier I am knowing that I am doing something about my weight and not just waiting for it to "fall off". Best of luck!

with my first child i lost the 20 pounds in about a month. i am not sure how, i guess i was just lucky with her. with my son, i am still working on that. i gained about 25 or 30 with him, even breastfed, and still can't drop the extra pounds. i've tried working out and have had no results.

i have lost all of it plus 5. I gained 45lbs when i was pregnant and 2 days after i had him i lost 20 then 1month later i lost 10 then i lost the last 15 a few months later. I breastfed so that helped alot, but i stopped breastfeeding at 5months and my son is 14months old and i weigh about 107. I honestly don't know how i lost it all.. I don't exercise or anything it sortof just fell off of me. But im sure walking is a good way, and eating healthy, or somewhat healthy. I don't really drink anything but water so that helps alot.
