balancing act

My son is of course my world, but it is hard sometimes being a single 25 year old mom. I just want to be 25 for an evening but then I feel guilty even when I leave him with Nana. Any advice?

That's normal, and all a part of being a mom :) There are times when I just want to pull out my hair and so I arrange for my 4 kids to be gone. Then I am lonely when they're not here. Go figure. It is good for both of you, however, that you get time for YOU. You need the time so that you can relax and enjoy the company of other adults. It really will make you a better mom. And your son needs to learn to be comfortable with other people, as well. The more you do it (although, I'm not advocating doing it ALL the time) the less awkward it will be for both of you.
