It'll happen when it's meant to happen. When we started trying for our second (30wks now) it took some time.. different positions, the frequency (every other night, every 2nights) and the ovulation calendar made it happen (or so I think!) for us.

With my DD we tried for a year and then we went to lazy mode... lol we kinda gave up trying and was like if it happens it happens if not it doesn't, we stop charting (still did the butt in the air thing) and enjoyed each other... sometimes when you try it takes the fun out of sex and becomes a stressful thing for both the man and women... Good luck!!!

LOL right now we are dealing with prego test that say your maybe prego test (faint white line instead of dark line) and your not prego test, so wish us luck too!

don't think about it just relax and enjoy sex !!! i totally agree with gina dont rely on test it will happen when its ment to be. my husband and i were told by naturopath to take zinc in a liquid form to boost our fertility we took it everyday for a month before we started trying and it worked i felt pregnant straight away but at the some time that might not have anything to do with it so good luck!

Some doctors suggest putting you on the pill for awhile before you try, its somehow supposed to help. There are also natural means of figuring out ovulation, which don't require the stress and money that home tests do :o)

Congratulations Francesca!
I'm now 27...it took my husband and I eighteen months to get pregnant...we tried for over a year and then due to my age I was getting kind of worried so at my yearly physical I asked her about it and that we had been trying, but with no success. She said that it is amazing that once you start testing you get pregnant and lo and behold I did :) We found out we did have a few issues...it is nice to know though and fantastic to find out I was pregnant.
I have heard recommendations about the book Rebecca recommended..."Taking Charge of your Fertility"...one person I met really swore by it.
Good luck and I hope something wonderful happens for you soon!

Look into natural family planning and other natural fertility tracking methods. By charting your cycle you can see a clear pattern and likely find out if you are even ovulating. And if you are, you'll know when that is. And if you aren't, there are many resources for interpreting what is going on in your cycle, plus it's a fantastic health record to bring to your doctor to get a clear picture of what's going on. Google natural family planning, or I think there's a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility".
Most dr.'s give generic tips or eventually just prescribe drugs without ever truly finding out WHAT is going on. So it can be extremely beneficial to start doing the research yourself. Good luck, and I highly recommend this!

Hi Erin, i've been trying for nearly 2 years, relaxing and not thinking about it is easier said that done. when you have it on your mind 24/7 its hard not to think about it. i even had a dream last night that i took a test and it was positive. just keep having lots and lots of sex and legs in the air after lol. good luck sending you some* fairy dust *

yea, i lost a few pounds because I was overweight, I quit worrying about. Except afterward I did make sure I laid in bed for a lil while instead of getting right up like I usually did. and 1 month later I found out i was 4wks pregnant hahah.

I agree with everyone here. My husband and I had a unique situation, my Gyno told me I'd probably never get pregnant but because I wanted to have a baby naturally that I should start trying because it would take us years. So we started "trying" but it was more we just enjoyed it because the chances were so slim. I ended my birth control in July, saw my OB in August and was pregnant by September because we went with the "gonna have fun" approach. Legs in the air does help (I did do that) but unless you have your OB help you with charting and all that it's too inaccurate. Plus when you put pressure on yourself and S.O. it becomes a chore and nobody enjoys it then. Which can cause a strain on your relationship, and become a problem later on with both of you resenting the baby.

I know what it's like to see babies everywhere and not have your own, lol! I got pregnant quick, but I used on of those ovulation tests from K-mart. Charting my days didn't work, since apparently I was off. And I had been on the pill for over 4 years before we started trying. I agree with the previous posts about relaxing, but it's hard when you've waited so long and just want to get pregnant already! I have a theory though: you know when you're around a group of women a lot and you all start to get your periods at the same time? I think it works for pregnancy too. I worked at a daycare, and in the year that I was there, about 10 of us got pregnant and had babies! You can try hanging out with other pregnant friends, some of their baby dust might rub off on you, lol! Good luck!
