I think the problem with it is that our society these days don't put emphasis on family anymore. I didn't finish college, got married at 20 and had my first baby at 22. People are always asking my mom "oh, what did she study" and my mom's like "she didn't, she got married to an amazing guy and has a beautiful baby and is deliriously happy." I can finish college anytime I want to, there are so many online options out there not to mention that both my mother and mother-in-law can't wait to get watch my baby, so i've got the support. However, I knew who i was going to marry at 16, and it was more important for me to start my life with him then to fulfill some standard that society forces upon me. As if finishing college and getting a job and 'living my life' and getting 'experiences' is much more important than getting married and having kids early, throwing my life away. *rolls eyes*

oh yeah!! I am about to turn 25 and i look 15. My daughter is 20 months. It amazes me that people will actually say things to me. I was at walmart and this lady was talking to my daughter then said but you dont look old enough to have her. and i said well im almost 25, i dont know what you consider old enough but yeah. and she was amazed. I also get older people saying things like do you have sunscreen on her like i dont know what im doing. it drives me crazy. Expecially because i am married and PLANNED my child. even people i worked with forget how old i am. they were like well are you happy cuz thats all that matters. i was like well duh im married and wanted a family what part of that dont you get. I guess ill apreciate looking young when im older.

I'm 22 and look much younger although i've not had any comments or people say anything to me I work as a teacher in a primary school and one of the kids in my class brought his mum to see me about something and she asked if I was a student myself on work experience and asked me where the "real teacher" was! haha!

there is no point to stressing over little things like that. that just shows you how mature they really are.

i was 18 when i had my first. he is going to be seven this year. i was in walmart the other day and an older couple asked me how old my brother was. i told them he was my son. they said that i looked like i was 15. i said good because i will age better. they didn't take that too good but you know something it is their problem. when my kids get older i can still go out and have fun never mind staying in the house to raise kids like all the older people i know did. they didn't get to enjoy life.

LOL...sometimes I do, but I try not to worry about it too much. Please, do not worry too much - I find the best solution is when someone is silently judging you I find the best defense is just to keep your head held high and smile at them..even ask them a question like how they are doing. Now a days it is very hard to determine someone's actual age - you've got 13 year olds who look 25 and 25 year olds who look like they are 15. I am 27 with a 15 month old son and sometimes people ask me if I am a student at while I'm at work.

dont worry about it. I had my daughter Danica when I was 20. She's nearly 5 now and I look at like this...When she goes off to college I'll be young enough to still enjoy my life

Oh yes- I was 19 when my son was born he is now 2 and a half. It used to really bother me but I've started realizing that it is their problem not mine! It doesnt matter how old you are- you can love a child at any age!
