I guess it is harder to do the raising of a child without a father in the childs life, but in my case it is so much better. I get to raise my child and he is blessed with great male role models in his life that are much better then a dad! My sons dad is an ex felon, in and out of jail, does drugs, never takes care of responsibilities, leaves anything behind when it gets tough to take the easy road, and will never change his ways! I my case I am protecting my son from his father becasue my son is too much of a blessing to be drug down by a sperm doaner!!! Anyone else have this type of life? Any comments or feedback for a single young mom back in school on wlefare and just trying to get by???? Thanks ladies!!

In my case, my sons daddy loved his twin sister so much that when we lost her, he started drifting apart. They only 2months old when this started to happen. He couldn't careless if my son was sick, or needed to see him. He isn't there for him, and hasn't been faithful to me. I'm in a tough situation where I'm thinking of cutting him off our lives, because he's not much of a father nor help in our lives, all he brings is hurt and pain. Thanks ladies

Hi,

I went through that with my first son. Daddy decided to be a crack head instead. Sad thing is i didnt know he was doing it. Until i found crack in my sons carseat and he decided to take off for almost a week while we were being evicted from our house, had no food, electric or water. Thank god for my mom. Then my stupid butt took him back and he ended up leaving me for a stripper. He called and said he was going to come see his son. My son would get all excited but guess what, daddy never showed. Broke his poor heart. So i now live in a different state and have a wonderful fiance who treats him as his own. It's very hard being a single mom. But i'm glad i found someone who appreciates my son. I wish is father would give up the rights that he didnt want when i told him i was going for child support. Since he doesn't want to support a son he cant see. Which he can but thats to much work for him to do. He basically uses my son as a trophy and makes me to be the most horrible person in the world. But you know what, you gotta do whats best for your kids. Best of luck to you. It takes a very strong woman to raise a child on there own.

hi abby... vivian here, a single mom too... i feel sad because my son will grow without a father... i have a lot of worries because i know that one day my son will ask me about his father and i still have no idea how to respond to him... his father and i just did not end up with each other... i decided to keep him... i am doing my best to be the best mom for him... i will give my love double time just to make up for the absence of the love he should be getting from his father... i hope that when the right time comes my son will understand the reasons why he only have me and and love me as much as i love him...
