have my 6 week check up on tuesday after having my little girl, and i know we are going to talk about birth control, me and my fiance have been talking about it, and i've talked to some other women, and we think we want to go with the IUD but i've not heard anything about it. my friend said it was a great method and didn't have to worry about getting pregnant for 5 years.

I would love more thoughts on this because we aren't looking to try again for 3 years.

Thanks!

I have the MIRANA IUD and I absolutly love it! I have had it in for about a year and have had no problems or complications! It was the best solution for us and you can have it in for up to 5 years if you want to! Good luck!

I know alot of people who have had an IUD and they love it. My mother has one and she says it is the greatest form there is out there. I had a temporary tubal done. I wish i hadn't because now i want another baby and it costs 15000 to reverse it. Go with something affective and affordable!!

I have one and LOVE it! Although, my sister had one and recently had it removed because she thought it was the cause for some of her medical problems. We don't know if that's what it was, but she hasn't been so bad lately. A friend of mine also had it and she said it made her so moody and just a pain to be around she had hers removed as well. Maybe not good stories, and I'm not even sure if the IUD were the cause of both of their problems. But I love mine, can hardly tell when it's "that time of the month". Don't really cramp, I just think they are awesome!

I've heard it's a nice thing to have cause you don't have to worry about a pill or patch every day however I've also heard if not done the right way it could be deadly. and I had a girlfriend who had the iud and she still became pregnant. She was in her third month when she found out and set up an appointment to remove iud, shortly after she miss carried??
