My son is 3 almost 4 and he recently started biting. My daughter who is 5 never bit. I am at a loss of what to do. One time I let my daughter bite him back to see he didn't like it either. That has not stopped him yet. It only seems to be getting worse. Also, he has started putting almost everything in his mouth... toys, clothes, pillows.... He knows better.... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

No he hasn't started daycare or anything new. My 7 year old neighbor gave him a bunch of bruises one night (slowly we got the whole story out of him) and so I just changed how able he was to play with her. He got them at her house while her mom was there.... I only allow him to play with her under my supervision. Which took care of the other bad behaviors. He had gotten mean and would hit and steal toys and such just nasty to his sister. Now that she isn't able to hurt him he is better except for the biting and chewing on stuff. When my daughter bit him back she actually bit him hard... she left a bruise.

She didnt bite back hard enough, lol, I kid I kid. Has he recently started daycare or something where he might have learned this behavior. My kids werent really biters I think they did it once or twice and that was it. My daughter had a girl in her class that was a lil brat and would bite leaving welts on the children. Shes almost 4 so I would say start taking toys away. My 3 and 4 yr old respond to this. And I put it somewhere that they can see it and reminded why they took it away. If they can go a few days without the bad behavior i give it back. If not I will keep collecting toys.
