Congrats on your baby! Yes, I would definitely go with the bigger size. They will probably be HUGE the first few weeks, then will go down (a little). There are a few bras that fit a range. (B-C, C-D, etc)

Good Luck!

AnneMarie- congratulations on expecting. When I went shopping for nursing bras the lady at the store advised me to try them on and as long as I could fit four fingers between the bra and my breast it would fit even after I started producing milk. So far so good my daughter is 6 months old now and I am still nursing. My advice though would be to try on all bras. I bought two of the same exact kind in different colors and they fit very differently. Good luck!

try and get to a store that does a measuring service, that way they can tell you what size you need. especially go after you've had baby because your size will change and then go again in a few months time. they'll be able to advise you as to what sort of bra to get to. :)

just wait until the baby and milk comes...there's no need to rush. and wait until the engorgment goes away. I'd also recommend a sleep bra. and yes make sure you try them ALL on, and undo the flaps to see how well they stay down, if it's lined to thick it can get in the way and be really annoying. maybe just buy a nursing tank top at first...they make things really easy and when your boobs are hard as rock who wants to put a bra on anyway. good luck!

I would wait until your milk comes in before you buy anymore, I exploded from a C to a D overnight when my milk came in and I had to go buy new bras. I'm still breastfeeding 6 months later and I'm still a D cup. I don't know if they'll go back to a C when I stop. You also might want to get a sleep bra so it will hold the pads in place while you sleep. I got mine from Babies R Us, but I'm sure you could find them elsewhere. Also, I find Johnson's nursing pads are the most comfortable and most discreet pads. They're nice and thick and curved and have a sticky spot on the back so they stay in place. Hope that helps!

there are a few websites where i buy my bras from (nursing included) and they all have a good return policy, you pay return shipping, but get free shipping if you do an exchange) and they mostly cater to those with DD+ cup sizes. the are in uk sizes, so you have to convert, but it's just the cup size that is different (ie im an H in USA and a FF in UK). i would recommend buying your nursing bra in your 9th month, and buying on that fits on the loosest hook (tighten as your rib cage goes back to normal) and approx one cup size larger that you are in your 9th month. if it is underwire free, than it will most likely fit a bit better as your boobs change, but i always liked the ones with underwire, and didn't really have a problem with fit.
the sites are www.figleaves.ca (or .com, if you are in the states) www.biggerbras.com and www.bravissimo.com
their shipping is all pretty reasonable as well and the prices aren't bad. i can normally get 3 bras for approx $100, (which is really good, if you have big boobs you understand how hard/expensive correct fitting bras are!)
hope you find something that works for you :)

I bought a couple of bras that had a bit of room still in them and I bought nursing tank tops. I don't know if anyone else has had a problem with bras with underwires but I could not wear them, they sit in my drawer unused and to big now. (they caused me to have knots) I've worn the tank tops almost exclusively. When nursing it is an easy way to hide your belly and your shirt hides the top of your breast so your pretty much covered. My BF dad gets a bit uncomfortable when I bf, this way he's ok with it because he can't see anything and I do not have to cover my daughters head with a blanket.

just tell hubby to go and buy a bunch and save the reciept. that way if they dont work he can return or exchange for a bunch of the ones that work good. also tell him to check the return policy before purchase. hubby screwed that up one time for me. had to call corporate office to get things straightened out.

yes make sure there is some extra room. when i bought mine there was still some room and it worked out good. also if you are looking for one that good but not too expensive. walmart sells a brand called lovepats. i have used them for five of my babies. and they are nice.

I bought a bra a couple weeks before I had my baby and I had tried it on at that time, and it fit perfectly. I should of bought a size bigger, because yes, they did get bigger and the bra didn't even fit me afterwards. So, I would get one that is a size bigger.

Good Luck
