A newborn is not going to know if you nurse or not. For a newborn all they care about is getting fed. As far as what formula is best much of that you will have to wait until baby comes to really know. The hospital will have Enfamil and Similac. If your baby has no problems with the formula they give him in the hospital I would say stick with that. If your baby seems to have issues then I would talk with your doc. Doctors are the best person to talk to as they can help narrow down the issues and suggest the right kind of formula. You also have to be careful in switching formula as too much switching can cause an upset stomach. There are formulas for acid reflex, colic, allergies, lots of constipation, etc.
