I am 5 months preg. and I really want to breasteed. I am really nervous and scared.Anyone have any advice about the after effects of breast feeding?

well there are pros and cons to everything in life, but not too many cons with breastfeeding. major cons, your breast/nipples hurt if you pump, but pumping is faster and easier. after you're all done with breastfeeding, your breast get flat and sag. but that's what bras are for :) the pros you lose weight faster, releases endorphins that make you happy and relieve pain. it also helps prevent breast cancer. i hope this helps put your mind to rest :)

Not sure what you mean about the after effects of breastfeeding? I would suggest taking a breastfeeding class through your local hospital. Breastfeeding can be easy and go very smoothly for some babies and for others it can be harder and more of a learning process. Best advise I would give you is call on friends or the lactation consultant at the hospital for help....even after you are home (both in weeks and in months after).
