C Section tummy and recovery

I am 24 yr old mum... had a c section and my baby is 8 months now... my tummy is projecting out a lot and i feel very uncomfortable about it... i need to know if c section belt be effective if i start wearing from now or is it too late to lose the tummy? it is bulging out and looks so hangy too ... kindly advice...

It sounds like you have Abdominal separation from the pregnancy (nothing to do with the c-section). I don't know that much about this c-section belt your talking about, but if it helps to suck your tummy in a bit, it may help with your core strength. Strengthening exercises that focus on your core such as just maintaining good posture and sucking your tummy in will hep to close the separation as well as planks, crunches and leg raises. Go very easy to start and you should talk to your doctor and get advice on the intensity of the exercises you should be doing otherwise you may do more damage to good. I remember a midwife telling me that anymore than 4cms abdominal separation is severe and should be seen to by a doctor. Hope this info helps
