my daughter is 43" tall and weighs 33lbs. does anyone know if she can go into a booster seat or has to stay in the 5 point harness until she is the 40lbs. She is over the 40" limit but not the weight limit.

I have a daughter that was in the same boat: tall and slinder. Its your call. Police don't carry around scales, but you still want her to be safe. We put our daughter in a booster with a back at about that same height/weight. My personal fav is Graco especially because you can detatch the back and just use the booster when she's ready.

My daughter is the same and she is in a booster. it all depends on the booster some have other requirements then others

I believe it depends on your states laws. You can try your car insurance agent as well. I use state farm, and they know the laws as well as will make sure your seats are properly installed.

I would agree with Christal. Every state is different, and I'm not sure where you are from, but I know in Ohio the child has to meet both the height and weight and age requirements. My son has to stay in the 5 point seat until he is 4 years old and 40 pounds.

i would call your local police department and ask them. in my town they have a police officer that acctually will check a carseat for you and make sure its properly installed. so maybe they can help you with that as well.

personally i would keep her in the 5-point. its not hurting anyone, and its better to be safe
