Clean Your Room!!!

Alright so I'm sick of cleaning my daughters rooms... well actually I'm sick of telling them to clean their rooms and than doing it for them. They are only 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 years old but I'm not asking much just the toys into the toy box and dirty clothing into the hamper. I told them they couldn't do anything fun (ie: park, fair, lake, pool) until the rooms were done... LOL now I haven't left the house in 6 days and I'm going crazy! I have stopped harassing them; other than 'the fair is happening to day better clean your rooms if you want to gooo'. I don't want to use food as a reward (that's a hole other story). I have cleaned my room 2 times a day for the past 6 days saying 'girls come see how clean my room is. Now mommy gets to go to the fair!'. I think the main problem is that they are so close in age and personality they are like twins. They are constantly entertained by each other and couldn't really give a crap if they were at the fair or not. I just want to leave the house but I can't give in, eventually they will want to go somewhere right? I suppose I should change it to something in the house, like no movies/bikes/bubble bath? Thanks for reading... had to blow some steam.

Haha, i have the same problem. Except my 15 month old will actually start putting toys away but my 4 and a half year old wont pick up anything he takes out. Including the things in the living room hes not supposed to be touching or playing with. I would suggest no tv/movies and see if theres a change. If not, add another punishment, until finally they will have to clean up in order to have any fun. :]
