I'm afraid my 3 week old son might be congested; I'm not sure how to tell for sure though. Is there a sure-fire way to know if he is or not? Also, what type of medicine could we give him for the congestion, if anything?

thank you! I have been reading up on ways to help my newborn not be so congested and everything you mentioned is also what I've read elsewhere. we tried to the steamy bathroom last night for about 5 minutes...that just makes me nervous because i'm worried he might get overheated. do you recommend a warm mist or cool mist humidifier? do you think a vaporizer would be better? thanks for your help!!
