Coping with stress (especially in pregnancy)

Hi Ladies

We've been trying for our 2nd child since March 09. (My son turned 3 in April). I did a pregnancy test almost 2 weeks ago and there was a faint line. I'm going to the Gynae next Thursday to confirm the pregnancy, so I don't want to get too excited yet. I think I'm about 7 weeks now.

I have a really stressful job and I get really worked up when people don't do their jobs. I know that it's important to remain calm, but I'm just not very good at coping with stress.

Does anyone have some ideas of things I can do to help? I know it's a mindset and I need to work at changing it.

I was extremely stressed during my first pregnancy (both at home and work), so I don't want to go through this again.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Take time for yourself and your husband. Do something for yourself when you can. Take relaxing baths. Find candles that make you happy. If finding pleasure in the small things doesn't work, talking with someone else, especially your doctor or a therapist can be helpful. Remove yourself from stressful situations and try to let things go. Easier said than done, I know, but life's never easy. Best of luck to you.
